susandennisThis was my third visit to this hair cutting place. The last time would have been the last but the guy did give me a nice cut and the bimbo at the reception desk said that if I booked my next appointment, it would be $17 instead of $22. What.ever.
The experience today was way less nicer than the last time which wasn't that nice. The haircut I got today took for.freakin' ever and was not even close to what I asked for. When I got back to the bimbo to pay, I discovered that $17 had turned into $26. "oh we changed policy.'
For the record, the place was American Cutting Company,, 1st and Marion. And, yes, I left word on Yelp.

4 hours til concert time and the parking lot line to get in is getting a little out of control. I can only see what looks to be about 750 people but the trucks are obscuring a good bit of the lines so hard to tell. The sun is out and frying those poor people. The sound check a while ago indicated that I may well get the full concert experience tonight.

Based on the sound check, I'm thinking U2 is not Travis or Betty's favorite band. It has been quiet now for 45 minutes and Betty refuses to come into the living room. Travis came in because I got out one of his favorite toys that I keep hidden most of the time.

I am quite delighted with my new coffee maker. I only had the one tea k-cup but a bunch of tea bags. I was thinking I could get one of those fill it yourself k-cups and empty out the tea bags to make tea. So I put the electric pot out in storage. And figured out that I could heat water on the stove or in the micro until I get one.

I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit that it was about an hour later when it dawned on me that I could just put the tea bag in the cup and run the machine without any k-cup in it to get quick boiling water.
I think I got some stupid cooties on me from the bimbo at the hair cutting place.

The Mariner game is not on TV so I'm listening to it on my phone. It's on AM radio and I don't have any AM radio that gets a signal in this house. But, hey, phone works great. But the Mariners are not quite winning. Or actually, not winning at all. So far.

The walk to the hair cutter place was fine. It's about 3/4ths of a mile. My leg is getting better every day. It's no longer painful when Travis rubs up against it. Even the numb part is getting less numb. I haven't decided about tomorrow - walk or not? I think it will depend a lot on the sun. If the sun is out and hot, I may just get in the car and go back over to the Skylark in West Seattle. I haven't been there in for ages mainly because I can't walk there and it's hard to drive there these days with all the construction but if the sun is out in the morning, I may just go get me one of their exceptional bloody marys.
