perfect Sunday morning
Jun. 5th, 2011 08:15 amI went to sleep last night to the sounds of U2. It was a little better than annoying noise - I could pick out music and it was kind of fun to hear. I'm guessing it was pretty amazing inside the stadium.
The new grown up Kerug is wonderful. The smaller Mr. Coffee version was good but you had to carefully measure the water every time. With this new one, I pop in the coffee and hit the button and less than a minute later, I'm enjoying really good coffee. So nice to have coffee in the morning again. So easy. So fast.

The sun is out strong and hot so no walk today - plus I really think my leg needs another day of rest. Tomorrow, I'm going to go get on the treadmill and take it easy and slow and work my way back up to where I was. i can feel my hips are ready for some non-sitting action.
I do think I am going to drive over to the Skylark for a bloody mary and brunch. There's a baseball game this afternoon. And bear making. Just a lovely Sunday.

Date: 2011-06-05 04:26 pm (UTC)I'm enjoying the warmer days for my walks. After a winter that seemed to drag on forever, the sun and heat are really soothing on my joints and muscles.
Those newfangled coffee machines are quite tempting. I still like the old-fashioned maker so I can fill my carafe to take to work, but the single cup convenience on weekends would be fun.

Date: 2011-06-05 06:32 pm (UTC)I totally understand people who love and need warm weather. I'm just not one of them. I hate the heat but I also hate the sun glare. Happily, Seattle does not have an overabundance of either :)
Yeah, filling a carafe would not work with this coffee maker. I remember when I used to do that.
