I slept so well last night. Wow. Travis was extra snuggly. It was really nice.

I've also enjoyed some in bed surfing and game playing and just messing around...

I'm seriously considering getting up and getting out. My plan is to head south and start with Ikea when it opens at 10. After that, my agenda is a bit fluid...

And apropos of nothing...

I have been using the Chrome browser since it first came out. I never got happy with firefox and use IE for work but for all else, for me, it's Chrome. I love that I can install it on any computer, sign in to google and bang, it's just like I'm used to. All the bookmarks in the right places and the settings just like I like.

IE, for my money, has finally gotten some chops with 9. It is not as good about the cross computer thing but otherwise, it does what I want and is a fine standby for those few times that Chrome can't play.

It's kind of amazing to think back to the first browser I ever saw. When I built my first web page, Netscape was the only browser I knew about and it was just before launching version 2. Version 2 brought background color and, I think, tables but that may have been later.

The browser was really just a window to the web page. Now it feels more like its own tool.

Fun to remember the old days but I'm sure glad I don't live there!

How are you able to keep your Chrome bookmarks the same on every computer?

Not playing the "one up" game, but I remember the first "browser" I ever used - ye olde' Lynx. Nothing quite like seeing the web for the first time in all of its glorious black and white text! Ah, the good ol' days. :)

Firefox fan here - never tried Chrome, and like you, I only use IE at work (because we have to.)

I probably don't even need to but I regularly use four different browsers: Safari on all my Mac devices; Firefox as the default on my work computer -- which always has tabs for both work (vendor website mostly) and personal (email, social media etc) purposes -- but also Chrome for both being logged in as "PCCProducts" on Twitter (even though I never use the account) and being logged in to CoTweet so I can answer PCC Twitter questions when necessary. Using both browsers serves two purposes: it allows me to stay logged into Twitter on two different accounts at the same time; and, for some reason, CoTweet doesn't play nice with Firefox. I can't remember if it does with IE or not, but I only open IE for certain work intranet applications that won't work properly in any other browser.

What I like most about Firefox is that, because I spend all day at work on it with at least nine tabs open, every time I go to close it at the end of the day, it prompts me to ask if I want to save the tabs I have open. Chrome doesn't do that (or if it has the capability, I'm unaware of it.)

And you know what I remember most about Netscape? It was the first browser I used to look up online porn! On my mother's computer. Good thing that was in the early days so I'm sure she never even thought about looking up web histories! (Was that even possible to do in Netscape browsers in 1995?)
