What a lovely...
Jun. 12th, 2011 01:32 pmMy plan was to meet
machupicchu and
seattlejo for brunch. I managed to change the sheets on the bed and get the laundry started before I left and still get there a little early
seattlejo was already there. Brunch was great. Well, the company was great, the food, not the best. I think I'm done with that place.
After breakfast,
machupicchu was looking to kill some time before his movie so we stopped off to check out sandals. Found none and then took the train up to Beacon Hill so I could show him my best mountain view spots. Alas, it was too cloudy to see mountains but we walked around a while. I love that neighborhood and I love walking around it and enjoyed it today.
Home for me and movie for him. I got home in time to watch the Mariner ass patting victory march off the field. Sorry I missed the game but so glad they won it. Swapped out the wash into the dryer and started a new load and now I'm resting with a cold glass of iced tea.
We did a lot of walking on a lot of uneven surfaces. I had on my most stable shoes and we weren't going fast but got around with no problem. I am so very conscience now of nearly every step. About ever 10 I say a little silent 'thanks for not letting me fall' prayer.
It was a nice way to get in some exercise. Now I think I'll get in some knitting while I finish the laundry.

Date: 2011-06-12 10:08 pm (UTC)The name "beacon Hill" always reminds me of a range of beautiful fabrics I used to work with, indeed it was an American company....

And thanks for the encouragement. I do not want to be a dottering old lady just yet. Maybe next year.
