This has to be
Jul. 30th, 2003 02:39 pmThe absolute dinkiest of all coinkidinks...
I've been aware, for a while, that Gamehouse makes some cool stuff. I first got sucked into Collapse and then Collapse II and after trying a bunch of different jigsaw puzzles, Gamehouse won because they did the options/UI correctly. So in the back of my mind I've been thinking, 'these folks know what they are doing... bet that would be a fun place to work'.
But, I had no clue even what town they were in. Today, at two different times, I saw people walking down the street with Gamehouse and Collapse II t-shirts on. The shirts looked like they were not new and the people looked like they were coffee-break strolling or lunch trolling, not vacation people.
So I fired up the old website to see where in the heck their offices are... And... their offices are... exactly... 5 floors above my very own cube!! In this town, in this 'hood, in this building!!! How wild is that? And this building is not big. There are maybe 15 companies in the whole thing - it's a 100 year old 6 story sucker.
My friend, Susan, thinks they haven't been there for two long because, she said, it wasn't that long ago that the building manager was trying to get us to rent that space.
Next step is to interview my mail carrier. He knows everything about everyone on this mail route and he will share with friends. Me and Susan are "friends'. Alas, however, he is off today.

Cool

Date: 2003-07-31 06:36 am (UTC)They actually probably don't need anything or anyone. According to their press, they only have 12 employees now. But, as soon as I can track down Lee, the know-everything mail carrier, I'll pump him and report back here!

I missed this post yesterday in all the TiVo talk.
