It is Chef Anita day and it smells heavenly. And she likes the new induction burner.

Meanwhile work has been heads down and full of frustration today but I just learned a 2:30-4:30 session that I need to be on hand for has been moved to tomorrow. So I'm pretty close to hanging it up for the day. I also understand that some system updates have screwed up some folks. My update checker didn't go off. And my connection has been unhampered (usually I get this little ugly icon and a buggered up connection when it wants an update). Apparently some updates went through that shouldn't have and snared some accounts. Ugh. That can tank you day in a hurry.

It's the first warm day today. Not horrible but not that comfortable either. It's supposed to get progressively cooler during the week so I'm not pulling out the A/C yet. In 2002 I started keeping track of when I pulled it our and when I put it away. The latest I've ever set it up was in 2008 on 6/25. We will likely match or beat that date this year.. It's just been the best spring.

Chef Anita has left and here's what's in store for me:

Thai Chicken Mango Salad
Pork Paprikash with Mushrooms over Linguine
Crispy Asian-Flavored Chicken thighs with sweet and sour sauce and roasted green beans
Flank Steak, spinach and bacon roll-ups with potatoes au gratin
King Pao Beef and rice

YUM.

The game starts at 4 and I just got an email from legalmoose that he's going to be there. I started to tell him to wear something colorful so I could find him in the crowd but it's GLBT night apparently... I'll bet I have a better chance of finding him if he wears beige!

Chef Anita. I'm wondering how she's doing it, cooking so many different dishes with so many different ingredients in such a short time. I mean a couple of hours is not much for doing all this. And it just sounds terribly delicious!

She usually gets here about 8:45 and starts cooking at 9 and is done by 2:30ish so it's really more than a couple of hours ;)

Yeah, I was in red, but given that red is the team's color, I didn't exactly stand out. :D
