I have the card so at least that much is a relative success. Relative because it is not in the TiVo yet so I'm only assuming it will work.

The office is big and they had maybe 10 customer service stations. You walk in and literally take a number. There were 3 customers ahead of being either being served or waiting. Fairly soon thereafter, there were no customers waiting, no customers being served - just me waiting for my number to be called.

Finally one of the customer service people looked at me and asked if I were waiting to be served. Er Yeah.

I handed over my number and then was left standing there while he went to the back somewhere to find out why my number was not called... Kind of missing the customer service point a hair, I thought.

He came back and launched into an excuse about the system while explaining to his buddies down the line what he had done about it (basically reported it and had someone reboot something). Meanwhile I'm still standing there, THE only customer in the joint and no one had yet even asked what I wanted.

When he finally did asked and I explained, he opened up my account and said that it would not be the $1.50 extra the rep on the phone told me it would be, but rather $9.00. ??? That seemed so very random. I'm paying $1.50 for one and $9.00 for a second one????

I argued and he went back to the back and came back and said he'd give me the first card for free and charge me $8 for the second. Again weird and random but what.fucking.ever.

He gave me the card and a booklet about how to set up my Comcast DVR and basically gave me the bum's rush out the door.

I found step by step how to install and activate the Comcast card in a TiVo online so I'm set. It will take some time and rebooting (which is slow as Christmas on a TiVo) so I'll do that part later.

Back to work for me now.

Agreed. I suggest calling and saying "This person I talked to said it would be an additional $1.50. Please change my account to reflect that."
