I am rarely more than an arm's length from a browser on the internet. If I'm not at a computer in the house, my smartphone is in my pocket. So, when I think of something I want to look up, all I have to do is reach out and fill in my search terms.

Lately, however, I've hit on a road block. I have the thought, 'oh, I need to find out xxx, I'm going to look that up as soon as I finish this quick task' and then, of course, when the quick task is done, I have forgotten what I wanted to look up.

It's the digital equivalent of forgetting what you wanted in the next room the minute you get there.

It's making me a little whacko. It happened twice in the last hour! I'm kind of amazed I remembered to write an entry about it.

I just had another long and tedious conversation with Comcast. I simply wanted to verify what my new charges would be. It sounds like there is a chance, that my new charges will be what the guy at the store said they would be but I could not get a straight answer and finally just gave up. They are apparently not so good at real time billing questions. When the next bill comes, in July, if it's fucked up, I'll start a new fight or call their retention people.

I really wish Comcast billing and Comcast TV provided the same kind of exceptional service that Comcast internet does. And I hate the thought of having to throw out the baby with the bathwater. But, I also hate getting fucked over.

It was marvelously cool this morning and it's still fairly nice out but it is warming up again... At least it is still fairly comfortable in here.

That happens to me a lot. Yesterday I was doing something in the kitchen and I thought, "Oh I should look up (whatever) on Wikipedia. I'll do that as soon as I'm finished here." And of course when I was finished, I couldn't remember what I wanted to look up.

I think I have an even worse problem. I'll open a new tab in my browser and forget why I did as soon as I did it!
