Work is clicking along nicely. It was great to come back after missing a lot of a day and not have a ton to catch up on. I was just able to dive right in and get going where I left off. Some days I just love my job.

It's way too warm out for me. But, I'm still getting morning sun into the living room here so maybe when the sun passes around it will be better. AC is on and I'm so grateful. When I'm hot, my brain just quits.

My Kiwi friends are out on their own. They have my back kup cellphone so I'm not worried. If they hit a snag, they will call. They are the easiest of guests to have. They are both totally engaged in everything, even just driving from place to place. When you ask them if they would prefer this or that, they give you a distinct answer and not 'I don't care'. They are happy to do whatever and I mean really happy. I hope I'm one half as gracious and interesting when I visit someone else.
I did have an opportunity to visit their hotel and hotel room yesterday and it impressive.

machupicchu's sister stayed there not long ago and he reported that it was nice but it is really nice. My friends have a very spacious room with lovely furniture and updated everything and a really nice bathroom with vintage tile floor and a big walk in shower.It's the Artic Doubletree. Next time someone asks me for a hotel recommendation, I won't have to go with 'er ah, I don't know, I haven't stayed in a Seattle hotel since I moved here!'

Back to work for me. I have lots to do. The Kiwis will be back here this afternoon so we can go to the baseball game early enough to see the stadium and watch the pre-game action.

Date: 2011-07-01 09:14 pm (UTC)Naturally, if you could get shots of the bears dancing to Pete and the Silver Bullet Band's "Old Time Rock 'n Roll", or riding Travis and Betty, or wrestling with each other, the photos would have more pizzazz. But everyone knows that teddy bears are self-effacing, shy individuals who go all stiff and formal whenever a camera shows up. So what else could you or any photographer do?
