What a lovely Sunday
Jul. 3rd, 2011 12:14 pmI enjoyed a nearly spontaneous brunch with
zimzat this morning. I somehow missed that he was coming to town from Atlanta but, happily, he popped me a 'wanna do lunch this week' email and we settled on brunch this morning which was delightful. I picked him up and we went to Hattie's Hat in Ballard. It's been on my list of brunch places to try but since I'm so seldom in the car for brunch any more, I had yet to get there.
We had a really cute and good waiter. My coffee was kept topped off. He screwed up my order and fixed it perfectly and quickly and did I mention he was cute?
Then
zimzat needed swim trunks and we were right by Fred Meyers so we popped in there. I got cat food, shoes and ham for sandwiches. Love Freddies.
Now home. The wash is in the dryer. Travis is sawing logs next to my leg. All is quiet and nice. It is cloudy out and not cool but not hot either. The baseball game starts in 45 mins. There will be bear knitting.
I love having visitors and one of the many reasons is that when I finally get home by myself again, I appreciate it even more than usual!
