A good night's sleep +
Jul. 23rd, 2011 07:19 amYesterday a little after lunch, I started feeling weird. I'm not sure how to describe it. Not dizzy at all but lightheaded. I fought it the rest of the day and even went out to dinner and to the grocery store. By the time I got to the grocery store, it was really bad. Happily, I only needed a couple of things and I made it home. I thought just sitting and knitting would cure it but it didn't. So I went to bed. It was about 8. I went to sleep.
I woke up at 2 am and figured I was fucked - that I'd never get back to sleep. I fiddled on the computer and listened to my audio book for an hour and then went back to sleep and slept right through the alarm.
Now I am up and having coffee and I feel fine and dandy. I did take my blood pressure last night with my little wrist cuff and it was pretty high but then the cuff isn't so accurate and dr. internets says you might have a headache (which I did not) but you can't feel high blood pressure generally. The little cuff, this morning, says my blood pressure is way lower.
It did occur to me that I might die in the night but I felt too bad to bother digging out a better sleep t-shirt. The one I usually sleep in is so full of holes that it's nearly falling apart. Not something you want your body to be found in.
So I'm doubly glad I didn't die.
Today promises to be hot. The sun is already in my living room so I have the blinds completely down and the A/C up. I think I'll just stay in to stay cool.
I have the makings for a good breakfast so that's going to happen as soon as I finish messing around on this computer.

So are you now going to make sure you're "presentable" before you go to bed every night. (Me, I figure I'm not going to care what I look like if it comes to that.)

Date: 2011-07-23 06:25 pm (UTC)I'm getting back into making jewelry, after a hiatus of fifteen or so years (hey, no point rushing things, eh?). I find it helpful to keep the computer on standby so I can record aspects of the process (proportions of materials, etc.). However, some of the raw material sticks to my hands (clay, glitter). I remembered the idea you spoke of and thought, "Win!".

So you have things to do and be.
