Anita's here cooking away. Lots of excellent salads this time.
I got up early to get good work done before she got here and I sure did. I plowed through my bugs like super pesticide. Which was good because production has taken a dive. It's not Anita. It's Travis. Usually, after he annoys me for a while, he gives up and goes to take a nap.
But, he cannot nap while she's in the kitchen, apparently. And he knows better than to try to get near the kitchen so he's all over me like white on rice.
I have a conference call in a little bit. Otherwise. things are under control.
I've never been one to mark days off on a calendar. If something is on the horizon that I'm looking forward to, I try to just enjoy the anticipation. But this morning I realized that we only have four more weeks of Summer. Here in Seattle, one of the things that I love the most is that come Labor Day, Summer ends. The heat goes away. The first year I was here, I left Seattle on Friday when it was Africa hot. On my way back Sunday, I had to stop and buy a sweatshirt it had turned so cool. I love it and I love that I can count on it.
So as I sit here now, there are only 34 days left until cool. I think i can make it.
And, omg, wonder of wonder, Travis has wandered off to the other part of the house for his nap. Finally!!! I'm going back to work.
