I think if I were the boss of me I would fire my ass for having such a poor attitude. Seriously. And it's stupid. Just because I work with a bunch of fuckchops doesn't mean that I have to punish myself further by being so pissy about it. Neither my actions or my words are going to change them except for maybe make it all worse.

Note to self: Either shape up or get out and quit being such a jerk.

Excuse me, were you talking to me? My post earlier was somewhat on that subject. You said exactly what I was thinking about my job.

The reason I am never fired is that I am good at my job, and they aren't.

That is what saves me from myself.

Sigh. I think the same applies to me. But, the thing that really annoys me is that my attitude is not good for anybody - me especially. It makes me feel like dogshit and I'm sure it makes others feel worse. You'd think at our age, we'd be more mature. I guess that means we're forever young???

I get the same way. What I think you should ask yourself is why you are that way. 9 times out of 10 when I am that way it is because the company is so mismanaged. It ruins an attitude.

You are right, I do need to think about what's causing this... but, I don't think I can blame mismanagement at least not totally. They are doing a good job with the business - maybe not so much with personnel but I don't think that anyone else is as dissatisfied as I am so I think the problem is me.

So I think the fix is with me. Now to just figure it out!

My husband thinks sex is a cure all. It probably isn't but sure is an attitude adjuster for a few minutes anyway.

I guess so. It's not easy being us!! I still strive to be better though, and you are right, it makes me feel better. Until they really get stupid then it sets me off again. All we can do is keep trying.

I think I am going to get some Happy Bunny (http://www.jimbenton.com/itshappybunnytolicensees.html) items for my workspace so when things get really dumb at work and I get irritated at people, I can just look at Happy Bunny and try to be amused.

I get that way with certain people here. For a while I was really bad, then I decided I HAD to do something. So when they speak to me I parrot them in my mind or by voice back to them, repeating their requests and just concentrate on what they are asking for and not the WHY or anything about their personality. I make it a point to listen as closely as I can without thinking things. It has really made a difference.

Then of course venting in lj helps.
