A free day... what to do, what to do...

There is no work so far today and it is very likely there will not be or if there is, it won't be much. So I have a free day.

First there is the gym. I'll probably head over there after this entry so I can get my treadmill time over with for the day.

Then, before it gets hot, I'm going to head over to the fabric outlet shop. The shop is very near here and is on top of a welding warehouse (seriously). There is no air conditioning. It's not worth the trip on a hot day. But, I think this morning will be ok. I want a simple envelope for my tablet. I'm thinking maybe fleece or felt or ... I'll decide when I get there.

There are some errands I could run but, really, there is nothing that I really need to do. It's a true, free day.

My new glasses are getting better. I think i need to just get used to the idea that I no longer have the sight I've had for 60 years. At least now, I can put on glasses and see fairly well and not have to take them off to see the TV or walk around. And I really don't need them once I move away from the computer. It could be worse. Way worse.

I think I'll go get the gym out of the way right now.

Ah, the joys of 60 onwards.
I have never found a pair of glasses that are truly comfortable in all situations.
I have bifocals, which I don't wear all the time, because I tend to take these enormous steps off curbs, that could result in injury, but mostly look like a drunk reaction.
And glasses tend to be so expensive....who wants to lose $400 bucks in a restaurant? Or at the discount grocery? Or at a garage sale?
Which brings me to the issue of being absent minded.... :)

so so right - all of it. happily, i do not need any glasses outside the house so no curbs. and losing them in the house is a little less perilous (not totally but a little less)
