It was so bad it was good

susandennisThe place Ann wanted to go for dinner was McCoy's Firehouse. Someone told them that on Fridays they serve this outstanding prime rib. It's a bar that also serves food. They had no rare prime rib so I got rib eye. Ann's medium prime rib was fairly well done. The rib eye was trying hard to be ok. I mean really, the place serves food only, I think, in hopes of sobering up drunks. But the food was not the issue.
When we got there, the baseball game was on which was great. Only it was the 8th inning. We were still waiting to be noticed by the wait staff when the 9th inning was coming to a close. We finally ordered just before the last out and they cranked up the juke box so loud that conversation was not possible.
But, after it was over, we had a nice visit on the walk home and I think she was glad for the company.

They finally delivered my airbed just before we left so when I got home I blew it up. Easy peasy and it's going to be perfect. It's a twin but the size of a twin bed and it's double stacked so it's high off the floor - easy to get in and out of. It's big enough for me and Travis (note to self, put quilt down before sheet as insurance against cat paw punctures).
I even found a way to store it on the terrace so it's hidden. After they leave, I'll deflate it and store it in the closet but for now it's nicely out of the way. Good purchase.
Now I think I'll watch some junk TV and knit me some bear!
