There are clouds so no frying sun. That, alone, is a good enough start to any week.

And, after yesterday's total obsession with the purchase of a Smart Car, [livejournal.com profile] fj fixed it all with one link. I had never heard of the Scion iQ. It is longer than the Smart Car and it does not come in green but... the dealership is closer to me than the Smart Car one and Scions have the reputation of just being problem free... plus it seems to share the same price point so I must consider it. I still think the Smart Car is my choice but I have to consider the Scion, I think.

I have to test drive both - I have to see if I can get my ample ass into them and that they are easy to get in and out of and they can do steep hills and I can see to drive and backup.

The iQ isn't available here until October 1 so my jets need to cool til then. It's the perfect excuse to stop the madness and think about it all for a while. Whew.

And the other Whew so far today is that the charge for my head surgery from last May finally hit my Discover card. I got yet another bill for it on Saturday but i think we've finally wrapped it up. I am sure glad I don't have issues that require lots of doctor/hospital/lab stuff. The billing issues would drive me nuts.

Ok, time to get a little more work done before I hit the gym.

I had never heard of the ‹href=...

You dropped an "a " there, I think.

You're so going to end up with a new car.

There is a Scion dealer right out here by me in Factoria. Right by the Dairy Queen. =)

You know, I was actually considering suggesting the Scion but figured you'd heard of it.

It's kind of weird for me to be a car person for anyone.

If I didn't have a family to drive around, I would totally drive a Scion.

As it is, I expect we're going to wind up with a Hyundai unless Kelly talks me into getting another Mazda to replace our 11-year-old Protege (which is such a great car that I seriously considered trying to buy another one used).

If you find the iQ or the Smart Car too tight, also consider the Nissan Versa and the Honda Fit.

When I was car shopping earlier this year I read reviews of the Smart car. It did not fare well -- lots of complaints. See what Consumer Reports has to say, before you get too serious about the car.

There was a guy who used to work in our IT department and he was huge and he drove a smart car. We all used to marvel that he could fit in it, but he actually seemed to quite easily.

Hey if you ever get one, can we take another trip to the Shipwreck Cafe in Olympia so I can drive it?? :D

I'd love to go to Snoqualmie again! Say that reminds me, I was actually wondering recently -- how fast cana smart car go, anyway? I can't think of ever seeing one on the freeway. But maybe I'm just not paying attention, which is, after all, kind of a problem I have.
