I woke up this morning to rain!!!! Not massive gully washer rain but it was wet and it was amazing to see. I should have realized something was up. I am normally an excellent sleeper but for the past few weeks it's been too hot do really do a good job. Last night, however, my good skills came out and I had a wonderful sleep.

It's the rain and the cool. Ahhhhhhhh Wonderful. It's stopped now and I suspect that we're done for now and probably for weeks but I will remember. It was good.

The Yankees didn't beat us last night. We just lost. Two errors in one inning made all the difference. We cannot afford errors - not in Yankee stadium. It's supposed to rain there today all day long so I'm guessing our game today will be rained out. It may well be the only way we can avoid losing. Sigh.

I may take a stroll downtown to Barnes and Noble. My manager gave me two $25 gift cards. I'd rather have deeply discounted used books for regular reading but maybe I can find something that is hard to get used for a good price. I'm going to start with the knitting books.

But, now I think I'll make some breakfast...

It's funny how everyone always refers to how it rains all the time in Seattle. I recently did some research on the internet and Atlanta, along with several other southeast cities, get a lot more rain on the average.

It rains like that here too. Almost never then everything in 5 minutes.

I guess that's why they call it a desert. We do get lightening. The lightening strikes are one of the major causes of our forest fires. It is weird to see so much lightening and so little rain. OH for a nice soaking rain!

Around here, it's been warm and humid with at least a threat of rain ever since we turned the page into August. I'm heartily tired of it. They now say that it might dry out by Wednesday.

It's supposed to rain there today all day long so I'm guessing our game today will be rained out. It may well be the only way we can avoid losing.

Not so, as you no doubt know by now. I hope you caught the game. (See, the Mariners can win on national TV!)

Well, actually they did (do) regionalize it, but I guess they figured folks in this region would be more interested in the Yankees than in Atlanta-St. Louis.
