I had to take some stuff down to the car so I figured why not just pop over to McDonald's and get a milk shake so I did. It's such fun to drive and maneuver. I've always hated driving through drive throughs before. Not now. Easy Peasy.

I read in the manual last night that the funky slots just ahead of the shift stick were coin slots. Ok, now that's an idea that someone just forgot to erase off the white board during the planning meeting. It holds 5 coins. Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

But, on the other hand, there's a little clip just inside the door to the glove box for holding papers down! Brilliant! I do just love all the cubby holes. Oh, I just remembered another one I saw in the book last night and forgot to look for in the car.

I'm figuring out stuff here and there. Like how to open the back hatch without the key. Got it.

The paddle transmission thing is just weird. And I keep hitting the damn flippers by accident. It's basically a faux manual transmission that does not use a clutch. I can't figure out why in the world I would ever want to use it.

I am so glad I did not get the used one.

After years and years of working hard to avoid getting in the car, now I find myself looking for excuses to drive and places to drive to. I already put 60 miles on it!!

My car doesn't have flippy paddles but I can set it to manual mode without a clutch too. I found it very useful this winter in the ice and snow. I know you don't have that problem but it saved me from a few slidy accidents.

do the coin slots press back?

they might be spring loaded ... so you could put several coins of the same size in each.

Congrats on the new purchase

Glad the new car is working out for you. I have paddle shifters in my Subaru, and I've played with them but don't find them very useful. There is a lag when you shift with the paddles, so it's not exactly a performance feature. I mostly ignore the paddles.
