And so it begins

My project has started end of life. I think the actual death is not until the end of September or maybe October but we got word today that they are cutting back to one producer (from the gaggle we have had). Happily, that one producer is really two half time producers which is my preference. So the co-worker who started on this project with me a year ago and I will be sharing the workload - starting next week.

Right now we're thinking she'll work Mondays and Fridays and I'll work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have enough vacation hours stacked up to fill in and make 40 hour work weeks for a couple of months. By that time, hopefully, another project will come along.

I'm sooo soo sooooo glad this did not happen last week. I would have never bought the car had I known my hours would be cut so soon. But, since i didn't know, I'm delighted to have free time to drive around!!!

Ann dropped by with an update. Ron is doing better all the time but she thinks he might just be a little overwhelmed and a bit depressed. I actually think Ann is the one who is overwhelmed and depressed. Time is a good healer and they got some.

I went over to Starbucks HQ today and met cinenaut for food truck lunch. It was delicious and fun to see him again. Now that it's going to be a little cooler I might do that more often. Today's weather was perfect for it.

Now I think I'll finish up a little work I have left for today and then put my feet up and relax.
