While work is slow, I think it's time to crank up my project list so that I don't fritter away the free time.
* I want new photos of my house - from all angles. I have great shots of before and after the remodel in 2005 but it would be nice to have before after and after/after.
* My website needs a major edit.
* I should consolidate a couple of my website hosting situations for easier maintenance and penny saving.
* I really really really need to redo my filing. I have two large file drawers and I'll bet more than half of the crap therein can be tossed out and the rest organized in such a way as to enable me to find shit when I need to.

Today is Chef Anita day. She is going to fry. It's already hot in here and the sun has not finished baking the joint yet. The next 10 days are slated for highs in the high 80's. This is a bitch but... the days are way shorter than they would be in July or August and so the heat doesn't last as long as it would have then per day. Plus at the end of this stretch, that will be it for the winter. If we have to have hot, now's the time to do it. According to theworldofsusandennis.

Betty, in her middle age (she's about 12 years old) is turning into a snuggler. She still isn't big on my picking her up and cuddling. (Travis, given his choice, would have me carry him around all day - and given his size, that might be a decent weight program.) She's frequently at my side and always up for stroking. Her hair is growing out slowly and she is the softest thing ever.
Travis can and does when he wants to, chase her away - mainly by just annoying her so much she leaves. Except at food time.
machupicchu was able to watch Betty steal Travis's dinner out from literally under his nose on Saturday. It's always so hilarious.

In 2005, I saw a guy on tv (HGTV's Crafters Coast to Coast) who made the most wonderful artwork out of found pieces. He had a website and on it was some amazing furniture. I contacted him via email and asked him to make me one of his pieces. And that's how I got my fish cabinet that has since graced my living room and made me smile every day. Shortly after I got the piece, he disappeared. A couple of years later, I got a postcard saying his new website was coming soon and he had a show in Florida. Then nothing. No website and Google never heard of him.
Well, Google has now changed his mind and I found him again, in Etsy! I have a spot in my living room and one in the bedroom that would love to have one of his pieces. Reduced work hours means reduced pay check so until I start getting more hours again, I'm going to hold off, but the minute the work comes in, I'm know where the money is going.
