My boss's IT guy just called (really really nice of him). I had sent him a note explaining the problem and telling him I'd be in at 9 to see what we could do. He agreed that was the thing to do but said he would not be in until 11 tomorrow so the swim class is toast. Thankgoodness he called or I would have gone in and then just been picking my nose there with nothing to do but wait for 2 hours.

The pool is open early for laps so I think that's what I'll do. I think I'll just try out my free lance with music idea tomorrow morning and then come home and then go to the office.

Wow. I just heard the news about the Red Sox. Wow.

It's kind of a relief, really. If they'd survived, it just would have prolonged the agony.

Reading the local sports pages is going to be tough for a while, though.

As a Bostonian, I am obviously a Red Sox fan. However, I am not blind to the fact that they excell in snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ah well. At least my commute home (I ride on the subway line that has the most direct route to Fenway Park) will be a lot less crowded now.
