I'm pretty sure that Mom is pissed about the airport thing. She sees no reason why she shouldn't come get me and she thinks I'm being silly. I think I will enjoy the trip every so much more knowing that when I get there I won't have to deal with her getting lost and our getting almost killed a half-dozen times. She's in denial about her driving and getting lost. She'll get over it.

My housecleaner came today and everything is so nice and clean. The cat hair clumps have taken their leave. It's wonderful. I've gotten lazy about keeping things tidy in between her visits. I need to remember my nifty little sweeper and that while it is a nifty gadget, it does not do much without my help.

Work was busy all day. Northwest Airlines is one of our customers and discovered by accident that they have changed their logo again... 3rd logo in 2 years. Of course, we use it on a lot of stuff - collateral, our website, our slide shows... I spent a good part of today hunting down all the places and replacing it. Hope they like this one enough to keep it a while.

That is a really ugly logo. What is that little red triangle supposed to represent? And why would they ever change it that often? Its value --- if any --- is building a long-term tie.

I'm so glad I'm retired. And not having anything to do with marketing.

I always thought that this was a cool logo, except the hidden W in it came before N. If only they skwed the N the other way and put the triangle over to the right of N then it would read NW. Of course then it wouldn't do the one thing that is apparently important to them, which is: I suspect the triangle in this one and the old one is not random but a directional compass arrow pointing to the northwest. I know! You REALLY have to work at it to find it.

Did you know there's an arrow in FedEx logo too? It is formed by the negative space between the E and the x. It was supposed to be really important. Hardly anyone knows it's there.
