No swim for you!

I got up and got my suit on and my pool stuff all together and headed out. I got to the pool to find it locked up tight as a drum and not a soul around. It was just before 7 am and the schedule says it was open from 6:30-8. Clearly there's a problem somewhere but also clearly, no swimming for me today... The pool is open tonight at 6:30 so maybe but probably not.

Oh well, I guess a day without won't kill me. I do hate to miss Mantrell's class, though.

So now I have a couple of hours to kill before time to go in and start the computer madness. I think I'll

• clean up the kitchen
• take a shower
• pack up the swimming boobs for mailing to Amy, who works in my brother's shop and is also working hard on Dragoween!
• tidy up the desk area
• take down the garbage

That should keep me busy.

That's kind of odd and too bad. Looks like the inauguration of your new boobless swimsuit must be postponed. Alas.

Yeah but... I have all the swim stuff in the car and ready in case an emergency swimming situation occurs. And there's always tomorrow.

I've never known nor imagined anyone before who ever had “an emergency swimming situation”. But knowing you, now, I can see how apt this is.

Is it a public pool? Perhaps it was closed due to Rosh Hashanah?

Turns out I misread the schedules. But the funny part about your idea is that we have so few Jews out here that we don't even hear about Rosh Hashanah except from the east coast reading stuff online. (By the same token, nothing closes for Easter Monday or Good Friday or any Muslim holiday either...)
