susandennisI stopped by a fire station today to get my blood pressure measured. I did not get the results I was hoping for. I have a little wrist cuff and I have been taking it on and off at night and getting 118/68 or thereabouts and was getting rather encouraged. So I thought I'd get a professional to check it and then do a reading off the cuff for calibration. Well the professional got 156/72. Which is not what I was looking for, My cuff read 141/70. I'm no worried about the high readings - I have been running around all day and the professional was pretty darned cute. All things being relative, I'm thinking my blood pressure is about what it always is. Oh well.
I would love for it to be down enough to quit taking this medication. I could get there if I ate properly which is not going to happen. In fact, to console myself, I breezed through the Krispy Kreme drive through on the way home.
I got the car washed. It's all sparkly now. The car wash guys laughed at it. They said it looked like their hot wheels cars. Deep down inside, I know they were jealous.
I dropped my stuff off at Goodwill and did not go in. Turns out it was easy not to. I remembered we are getting close to Halloween and that always turns it into a madhouse.
So now I'm home. Betty is in the back of the closet. Travis is a lump on the bed under the quilt. And i think I'm going to get a snack and watch some tv and knit some bear.
