This is an exact copy from an email I just received from Tivo in response to a question about a feature that is no longer working:
..."We want this to say "Disable". When it says "Disable" this means that it is enabled.
However, if it says "Enable" that means it is disabled and needs to be enabled."...
Does WTF need a new example??

Sounds like it's a toggle. If the menu option is "Enable such-and-such," then it is not currently enabled, and choosing that menu item will enable it. If it is enabled now, the menu will offer a "Disable such-and-such" choice, so that you can turn it off.

turns out that was the deal and once i got into it, the sentences made sense but they sure could have been written better to start with!

oh and the entire email, once i waded through it, actually did have the solution.
