In the pool class today, Mantrel suggested that a couple of us might like to try out some of the webbed gloves they have on hand. They give you more resistance in the water so your arms get a better workout.
But, when we get to the buoy portion of the class, he says to take them off. No easy task in the water. I started by tugging at the thumb. He was watching me and says try pulling from the wrist section off.
And instantly I heard a Southern voice in my head:
A lady removes her gloves slowly and carefully starting with a gentle tug at the thumb and then on to the index finger and so forth. NEVER grab them at the writs and pull unless you want the world to think you are a farm hand. (And, of course, the words farm hand came dripping with the maximum amount of disdain possible.
Mantrel was absolutely correct. A good tug from the wrist and those puppies were off in a flash.
