Sunday morning adventures
Oct. 16th, 2011 12:08 pmI found a new brunch place to try but it does not open up until 10 so I took a long time getting out of bed... got caught up on my internets and then remembered an errand I could knock off while waiting for 10 (Thank you, Target, for opening so early - I love you for that.
Target mission accomplished, I told the GPS lady where we were having brunch and she got her I'll-Take-You-There on and we were off. We did haven to turn around and circle back so I could get a photo of these blow up devils in front of this church. These people scare me but this is just hilarious.

Then on to French Bistro which turned out to be in a place that I'm very familiar with.... across from a Safeway and the place where Betty got her hair cut. It's not even a new place. I'll bet I've seen it a bascillion times. But, I'd never been in there. It is adorable! And nice and quiet and sans screaming 2 year olds. The menu had several appealing choices and I picked one and then the waitress came by and told me about their special which also sounded good so I went for it and it was amazing. Perfect flavors and perfect quantity. Interestingly, there was no salt or pepper on the table. I saw some next to spare napkins at a service station. The food did not need it but rarely does a restaurant have the balls to tell you so like that. I will definitely go back and soon.
It's quite a handy location. I popped into Safeway to get lunch stuff and then on home.
I split a little less than a cupful of dry cat food onto two plates before I left. There was none left when I got back. So far so good. Every time I go near the kitchen, they rally round hopefully. It's pretty funny. I am a little concerned about Betty because she's so tiny with zero fat on her. But, at least she will fight for her share. She's the queen of the dinner table.
Now I think it's time for some junk TV and bear knitting.
