Yesterday in the 2.1 miles from my house to the swimming pool, I saw 5 Smart cars. FIVE! The most I've ever seen in one day was 2. All 5 were different colors - none green like mine - and one was a convertible. It was kinda freaky.

You always notice your make and model on the street more. I rarely noticed PT Cruisers until I got one and now they are freaking everywhere.

Okay. You have convinced me. I am officially considering this as a second vehicle for commuting - my 8 year old Impala is paid off, and I'll be keeping it for the long trips to see Delbert McClinton. LOL

Trouble is, the only dealer is over an hour away...but I could use that as an excuse for a road trip to spend the day in a great city (Annapolis).

I believe I'm going for the middle model with a hard-top option, black on black with heated seats. I have done several of the combos, have them printed out, here, and I'm looking at them. I'd love the roofless one, but I gave up my Miata when I got vitiligo. No sun for me. :(

And the hour away - There's a great yarn shop very near the dealer - a nice place to spend my time while the car is being serviced.
