Jigs and Jags

So now, of course, I can't see a digital image without doing the Jigsaw-Worthy? Test... I think a trip down LJ memory lane is in order. ruralrob and androkles and dlanor - among others - have all posted some excellent potential jigsaw puzzles... hmmmmm

Under the heading of Be Careful What you Wish For... This company I work for does not have an HR person. While many of you may think this is a good thing, I can tell you that long term, it sucks. My manager has been lobbying for one for a while but without much success. She finally got one of the executives to interview a potential candidate - just in case.

I found out today that the candidate she brought in for an interview is Ms. I'mWayTooCool. One of the reasons that the last company I worked for went under is that they hired anything with a heartbeat and then had no clue how to fire the deadbeats. Ms. I'mWayTooCool was the poster girl for the deadbeats - she was so bad they finally did fire her.

On the up side, the office manager (my poop source) says that donkeys will fly before they hire any HR person here and should the wings start to sprout, one of the founders has a good buddy who's on first already. Whew.

Our network connection died today for a bit. I was in the middle of working on a website and lost the connection. No biggie, I had just saved my work. So I figured, while they scrambled to get the connection back, I'd check my Netflix queue. Duh. I would have been great in the Blackout of 2003.

It's intesrsting you are thinking in terms of jigsaws. I guess you know - or do you - that there is an effect in most photoshop-type progrms that converts the image in question to a jigsaw. It's a bit gimmicky for regular use of course, but I could show you an example if you're not familiar with it.

Oh, yeah. That's one of the many jigsaw puzzle options that I looked at and tried before I bought the one I bought. I'm sooo lazy.
