I have always kidded about having COPD mainly because my Mom kidded about it and she actually had it and pretty much died of it. Now, having been closely examined by several medical websites, I'm convinced that I do, too. Or lung cancer. But, I'm going with the devil I know... It does not sound like that I have to die - at least not this week. And, what's even better is that I can keep swimming.

I was thinking last night lying in bed trying to breathe that it would be just my luck to finally find an exercise I love and not be allowed to do it. The Dr. Internets all say that one of the top 5 things you should do living with COPD is exercise so whew.

I will be calling Dr. non-Internet tomorrow and I'll let him give it his best shot and give me a way to quit coughing and breathe better.

My stomach issues seem to be better this afternoon and I'm at least rested. I think I'm going to fire up some of that soup I got yesterday and maybe even whip me up a grilled cheese sandwich to go with it.

Have you tried anything over the counter yet? How about your penguin humidifier?

People have been known to become allergic to cats after having had them around for years.

If that's the case, loratadine (commercially Claritin and Alavert, but always cheaper as store-brand) and albuterol (asthma inhaler; don't use the OTC ones) might help! That's my cat cocktail.
