It just dawned on me... Sheri, the interior designer I work with, went to Rochester, NY this weekend for her son's music concert. She told him that she'd come to this one in October but not the one he's also doing this winter because of snow. She was looking forward to fall colors. Ooops.

I don't think they got hit. I spoke with Em yesterday and she didn't say anything about it. Most of the damage was quite a bit east of there, in Massachusetts, Connecticut, etc. Oddly, I think most of the damage in New York State was down by NYC.

Is her son at the Eastman School of Music?

"just lump the right hand side of the map together"
Ha ha ha! I'm sure we "Eastunahs", as Nanci Griffith pronounces it, tend to do something similar with regard to the west or south or whatever. I try not to, but life experiences have taught me well. I once spent a year doing phone sales of hardhats and such to a territory covering southern Lousiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and all parts west to Guam. Fascinating.

Yup, Central and Western New York got little more than flurries... a half inch of accumulation at most on Thursday night, except in really high elevations. All of the serious snowfall was east and south of us.
