I left work early today because the baseball game starts at 5. When I got home I discovered that our cable TV is out and has, apparently, been out all day! Their phone message says there is a general outage in Seattle and they have their best people on it (my words, not theirs). Now, the good news is that tonight's game is not on a cable only channel. So, I dug out my old battery operated black and white Radio Shack tv. I'll bet I've had this sucker 30 years. Powered it up and VOILA! Channel 7 and the game will start in a minute. I could, of course, unhook my other television from cable and maybe get a signal but it's also hooked up to a cable box, TIVO and a VCR/DVD player. WAY too much trouble. This little old black and white will do just fine. I think it needs new batteries, which fortunately, I not only have, I know where they are! Some days things just work out.
