Warm Sunday
Apr. 28th, 2002 12:30 pmI just noticed that the outdoor thermometer is at 73! I don't think I've seen it over 70 since last August. The sun is shining brightly which is certainly the cause. Amazing. 70 - 75 degrees is perfect for me. I have a deep seeded fear of heat. I was raised in the Southeast part of the U.S. and spent way too many days in really hot, humid weather that was too uncomfortable to withstand. When it gets cold you can always put on more clothes. When it gets hot and you hit naked, there's not much more you can do.
I have the opposite of seasonally affected disorder. The more sun I see the more anxious I get cause I know it might get too hot. The more gray sky I see the happier I am cause I know the chances of hot are nil.
Seattle rarely gets hot, thankfully. There are usually a few days in the Summer that I hate, but mostly it's comfortable.
