Regular day
May. 23rd, 2002 03:26 pmI had a busy morning but I'm having to 'work at home' this afternoon... this is mainly because the Mariner game starts at 3:30 this afternoon.
I've been working with a vendor on our website project. My original idea was to have him do the whole thing - propose changes, build out a duplicate of the site for approval and testing and then replace the site with the new one. Turns out he was not up to the task and either didn't realize it or knew it and lived in denial. I finally had to do much of the clean up work and do the actual site building for the 'go live'. He is good at some things but not at this. Now, today, he sends me an email saying he wants to debrief the project. I can't quite see how this will serve me and, frankly, I don't feel like I owe him a thing. We paid way more than we should to cover his lack of ability. Fortunately, I'm out of town so after the second time he asked, I told him we'll see after I get back. GRRRR I don't want to cut him off all together but I sure don't want to waste my time telling him how much he fucked up.
Just one of life's little frustrations...
