susandennisThings were going ok until about 3 p.m. My Intranet at work decided to stop putting out ASP pages - some, not all... The one form needed today (the Paid Time Off form - has to be filled out by Monday) is the one that decided not to work. My IT guy left this morning for a week's vacation - of course. I am at my worst in the afternoon's anyway and Friday afternoon is not a good time for me to noodle out stuff like this. It was really wrist slashing time.
Then, in the middle of it, I get this really sad note from my brother - who rarely writes or shares much of anything - that three of his good friends/mentors at work got laid off today. He was really upset.
I finally got the damn intranet back working but it wasn't easy and the frustrating thing is that I have no idea what made it stop working in the first place. Every damn time I tried to do something it would tell me to contact the System Administrator... I AM the goddamn system administrator! I hate software.
Thankgod it's Friday.
