Sunday Morning 404s

susandennisThis morning, most of my LJ links resulted in page not found. It seemed to me that this is a regular occurance on Sunday mornings. I clicked around to see if I could find LJ_maintenance... and, no. Then I clicked on "news" and found a note that they were aware of the "Sunday Morning 404s".
For the past few weeks at work, we have lost all internet connection on Wednesdays about 3ish. Sometimes on Tuesdays, but for about 3 weeks, we lost it on Wednesdays like clockwork. The IT guys had taken to calling it the Wednesday afternoon meltdown. They'd looked at everything and could not nail it down. Finally the junior guy had a lightbulb... Every Wednesday afternoon the accounting contractor comes to the office and plugs in her laptop. Yep. She was the cause of the Wednesday afternoon meltdown or at least the SQL virus on her computer was. Next Wednesday is likely to be sans excitement.
The sun has been behind clouds all morning which makes a MUCH more wonderful start to the day. It's not cool but it's not hot and that's such a relief.
I have two rugs in the bathroom. Jake went in there this morning and threw up on one and then turned around and moved to the other one and threw up on it, too. Both are machine washable so I appreciate his consideration there, but was it entirely necessary to annoit both of them?? It's laundry day anyway.
