Renting DVD's
Jun. 27th, 2002 03:55 pmI do not live anywhere near a DVD/video rental store. I tried Netflix - but their service was just too slow. I paid something like $14 a month for 2 DVD's but the way they worked it was just too expensive. You mail your dvd back and then they mail you the next one. Even tho they are located only 2 hours by plane from here, it took about a week to get there and a week for me to get the next one. So, my $14 really paid for 2 movies a month.
But, I miss not being able to rent DVD's. I found two ala cart places. Neither has a great selection but I think I'll try 'em and see. One is Rentmydvd.net and the other is cafedvd.com - the latter seems to be the more promising but their website was down for maintenance last night so I ordered from the other one. We'll see...
