Afternoon off?

susandennisWell, I left work and came home and worked harder. I ironed the new slipcovers and they look very nice. Then I decided it was air conditioner day.
We don't get that much hot weather here in Seattle but I can't stand any. A couple of years ago - 3 actually - I bought an air condioner on wheels. (My condo has no regular windows only 2 floor to ceiling ones and a sliding glass door. It's in a renovated railroad warehouse.) It's perfect for the job. Nine and a half months of the year it lives in a little storage box on the terrace. Two and a half months a year it lives in my living room.
I forget, year to year, what a bitch it is to set up. I have to vent it out the door so I bought a pet door and ripped out the flap and that's what I stick the hose through. Maximum light, but I can still close the door. I have some foam that I use to block out all the air around the hose. The whole operation works great but it's a bloody (I mean that literally this time) mess to get set up.
But, now it's done and I'm going to sit on the couch for a while and rest.
