Mom's in the hospital

But, preliminary reports are good. Her friend, Libba, sent me an email with the news and then called. Apparently Mom's foot was really sore and red and she was afraid it was a blood clot. Since she's big on strokes, she figured she'd be good to get her ass to the hospital. Libba took her and stayed a couple of hours until Mom sent her home.

Then she called LIbba to tell her they were keeping her overnight. Then someone from radiology called Libba to tell her that Mom wanted her to call housecleaning manager. Mom's day for her house cleaner is Thursday morning and, apparently, the big worry was to make sure Sandy knew to go ahead on in and clean even though Mom wasn't there.

Now, I figure if she was worried about getting her house cleaned then maybe she's not dying. I do hope she doesn't have to stay there long. She doesn't fit into hospital beds and her neck gets all twisted and sore and takes weeks to get over. Last time she had a stroke, she got a pace maker put in and the pain in the neck was by far worse than the stroke or the pace maker insertion.

So... that's the news. Oh and the Mariners went down in flames. Humiliating flames.

Later news from Mom: She called me from the hospital just before 11 p.m. to tell me they were wheeling her into the operating room to fix her blood clots. She sounded good. Not worried or frantic or anything. She said she'd call again when she was conscience. Stay tuned for updates.
