Air Conditioning

I have this little portable (on wheels) air conditioner that I bought about four years ago. It is, these days, my most wonderful posession. I ran it all day yesterday on low and it kept the place very comfotable. This morning the sun was frying the living room. So I shut the blinds and shut the door (my only outside air source) and turned on the air conditioner and went to work. I felt terribly guilty about running it while no one was there. But, I figured that it would be easier to deal with the guilt than the heat when I got home tonight.

I sent my Mom a note confessing my utility excess and she said 'you should not feel guilty. After all, Jake and Betty are there in their fur coats and those are not fake fur coats either!'
