Another wireless Day
Jul. 26th, 2002 10:51 amSo my friend, Sue, from work shares my thrill for toys and demanded a demo so we trounced off to the coffee shop. Now, this coffee shop is very nice. It's a little independant deal, all wooden floors and sincerity. And the patrons are all very proper - reading their papers and books and drinking their serious coffee drinks. And in we go. Two non-young women sharing one IPAQ and sqealing over connectivity kind of broke up the solemnity of the place.
One guy came over and asked to see the compact flash sleeve - he was stuck by the cover and was very impressed. Everyone else just kind of kept their distance and tried not to look. We had a ball. We surfed websites and checked email and looked at her email via hotmail. We were quite amused.
This afternoon I have errands. I'm back over to my friend's shop - that neighborhood is having a sidewalk sale. I'm looking for bargains. Then I need to go to The Bulbman. That would be light, not flower. And then home for the weekend.
