You guys are great! I went out to get some curly hair shampoo and when I came back I discovered that you like it... you really like it! The new hair, that is. Thanks! That's sure making my day.
I have one of those trunk CD changer things in the car that I've had a love/hate relationship with - it's an after install and clunky to operate. A couple of weeks ago I finally remembered to change out some of the CD's and proceeded to jam the damn thing so it wouldn't play and wouldn't come out at all. Today on my way to the shampoo store, I passed a car stereo place so I pulled in.
The very nicest guy in all the world spent a good 15 minutes noodling out the situation and then finally poking around and out it popped!!! We put the CD in correctly and tried it and it works!! He would not take a dime.
Polly the wonder woman who was lost during The TiVo Episode has been found and is ready to step in and help Mom with whatever needs doing. I am so mad at myself that I didn't call her yesterday morning first thing to go over to the hospital. Duh.
Everything else is under control it seems. For now. The Mariners game is in an hour. I wish I could not watch it since I'm so weary of their losing but, alas, that is just not an option. If I didn't turn it on, I think Jake and Betty would.
It is hot here today. I'm chosing to believe that this is The Last Hot Day.
In case I haven't been clear, all of you guys are just wonderful. It is so amazing to have all of you rooting for Mom and being there for me. I cannot imagine how difficult this would be without you. I am so grateful to be living in a time when something like Live Journal can bring all of you to me. It's nothing short of amazing.

Date: 2003-09-05 09:23 pm (UTC)Yeah, well, once the Sox had finished clobbering the Yankees (yay!) we switched over to the Mariners-Orioles on ESPN, and got rather more than we had bargained for. For once, it was the Mariners' opponents who managed to beat themselves. Damn.
At least for you it was only 9:15 when it was over.

Date: 2003-09-05 09:45 pm (UTC)And you are right. I do remember the pain of east coast baseball. The games like tonight were bad but waiting for a west coast game to even start was terrible. And that was when I was young!
I do like your win tonight. I know it's silly but anytime the Yankees get beat is a good time.
