The Mom Report

Bill (brother) reports that Mom is in good spirits and ready to breakout. She has a catheter (which I didn't realize) in place so an unauthorized breakout ain't happening. But, Bill is hot on the doctor's case to track him down and get her out.

He's staying until Sunday and then he has to go back home but his wife is prepared to stay as long as she's needed. She's a good sort. A bit of a flake but a good heart. She's his third wife and is known affectionately in our family as Trey. (Wife #1 signs her emails to us 'Uno'. We've lost track of wife #2 - she was the smartest of the bunch except for the marriage mistake. I often wonder what she's up to and hope she's gone on to great, great things.)

So, I'm kind of off the front line hook which is good since this ain't my forte.

Bill says that Mom is a little concerned about her ability to get around. I think this is as much a heart/lung issue as anything else. She can brorrow one of those scooter things from the nursing home which is attached to where she lives. And Bill and Trey will see to that.

So really all is good. She's responding well to the LJ Cure!

Here's hoping mom continues to improve. Sounds like she is thinking well which is good. You are a good daughter, and your love and support for her is a big comfort to her I bet. And thank goodness for a brother who does his part! You make a great team.
