Productive Morning

susandennisMom likes to keep an eye on her investments. She's actually pretty savvy about the stock market, but she has her own money and the money from Daddy's Trust and she gets really confused about what money is where and she just likes to see it all. So I made her a page on MSN's Money Central so she can watch and track it. The quarterly statement for the Trust account that Mom lives on arrived this week and I just finished updating the page to match. It's not an accurate picture of what's going on but it's close enough for her.
Then I spent some cycles researching my new computer and thinking about what I will need to turn this one off and start up that one. I've done this before and done it badly and done it well. I'm shooting for perfect this time. It comes with XP Home and I need XP Professional so I'll need to change that which will be easy. But, the first thing I'll need to do is partition the harddrive. It comes with an 80 GB drive. I like to keep my operating system separate from my programs separate from my documents and data and have my website on a separate partition. So, I'm planning all of that out. I have a 40GB external USB harddrive so it's really just a matter of making sure that everything I need is copied over to this drive.
But, now I think I'm done futzing around. I think I'll do some house tidying up and then maybe just plop down for some knitting and TV.

joyofmacs's webcam. She says she's going to be cooking soon. But, the only action I've seen so far is the camera getting moved. We had a good shot of the ceiling a bit ago and now we've got a clean shot of where the action will be but... so far not action. Also she hasn't yet up up the link to download the tastey treats for when she's done. I'm waiting....
