Oh Canada Drugs...

My Mom's doctor told her that she should be buying her drugs online from Canada. He did not recommend any place and she says 'oh there are a bunch - any of them are fine...' Yeah, fine for the collection of Spam! I am sure there are fine reputable outfits from which one can order drugs from Canada, but...

I am clueless about how to find out anything about any of them. I've just spent a good hour searching around for some opinion of some kind. But medical stuff is so far off my radar, that I'm just knocking bytes here.

If any of you - in the U.S. - know anything about ordering drugs from Canada - website recommendations, etc. please please share? Or if anyone has any ideas about where I might start looking....

The good news is that she's already figured out it is too complicated for her to do on her own so she's willing to wait until I get there in November. But, I'd sure like to start now at least finding out who's who and what's what.

If it's not one thing, it's another...

i know they used to have their own mail order service, but they may also know where people go for this sort of thing.

I have actually ordered some antibiotics from a mexican farmacia, I used to go to Mexico and get them just to have them on hand. I am not a Dr. person either.

I guess I would do what you are doing, keep asking around.

We have been hearing a lot about this on the news lately; how seniors in the US are getting drugs from pharmacies in Canada. I suspect any reputable pharmacy will do this - probably those closest to the border are the ones to look at. These aren't back street drug sellers by any means.

It's actually quite the thing here in Seattle. There are busloads of folks who go up to Vancouver about weekly on a drug run.

South Carolina to the Canadian border is just a bit too far. But, yes, I think I've got enough now to do some good research AND I've also been able to convince Mom to wait until I can get the right skippy.

All is under control once again. LJ rocks.
