A new day... a new host
Nov. 12th, 2002 03:07 pmWell, my web host - the one I got just three months ago - has just turned into too much of a hassle. It's time to move on. I started looking last week when I first got whiff that my current situation was going south...
I keep my images on one host, my main website on another one and my asp book database and journal pictures on yet another. All three together are only $20 a month and give me a lot of flexibility and a shit load of storage and I like having the availability. They also now all have their own domain name so swapping around is easy peasy and involves no coding. Just take the pages, images, databases, etc. and plop them on the new host. Repoint the domain name and 24 hours later, I'm kosher again.
It's a cut throat business, web hosting... I sure wouldn't want to stake my livelihood on it.
Waiting now for the new hosting company to send me the account details so I can upload and redirect.
