A Mom Attitude

susandennisMy Mom and I exchanged several emails this weekend about when I was arriving. She said she had it down on her calendar but I have seen her calendar and know that Tuesdays can look like Thursdays and November could be October or December ...
So I told her my arrival time just to make sure - 9:40 a.m. Saturday. She acted as if she was kind of annoyed since she said she knew when it was. So I dropped it.
Then last night I mentioned that Friday was going to be a busy day ending with the fight. This morning I get a note saying 'flight? where are you going on Friday? did I miss some information?' So I told her that I was leaving at 10:20 p.m. Friday to get to Charleston at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday. She allowed as how she was ever so surprised to hear I was taking the red eye. How in the fuck else could I get there at 10 a.m.?????? It's going to be a long long week.
And clearly I need to spend some quality time between now and then developing a new and improved attitude.
