Every year (actually twice a year) I scramble to find a nice, inexpensive gift that is small and weighs nothing and can be easily mailed to my friend in New Zealand. If I get it ready by Halloween, I can mail it boat mail which is considerably cheaper than airmail. Missed that boat this year so the challenge was on. I went with a snap watch and a lovely card. I just got back from the post office. Airmail postage to New Zealand = $1.70!!! My personal best.
