I got my first email from Mom. Bill had sent one before he left saying that she was home but wheelchair bound and couldn't get her wheelchair to the computer. Guess she figured that out. She gave me a hard time about the Mariners' losing. She said her feet hurt a little (which means probably a lot - she's not much of a complainer) but she says her balance is ok.

She's got an appointment with her main doctor tomorrow at 8. I just got a note from Bill who is now back home in Jacksonville. He says he called and Trey told him that Mom ditched the wheelchair the minute he left.

I left work today and it was overcast and cool. I went home changed clothes, grabbed by tape and set out to walk. I even grabbed a sweatshirt jacket and needed it. It was raining!! Big old fat drops. Fabulous!! That lasted about 14 drops. And then the sun came out and it was hot and humid. grrrrrrrr. But, I got about 40 minutes in and lived to tell the tale.

I recorded the new Ellen DeGeneres show this morning and am going to watch it tonight. The Mariners are a lock not to lose tonight - they aren't playing.

Well, as a fair-weather Red Sox fan, let me just say: good luck to y'all. If we don't make it this year, the Mariners are a good choice.

Thanks!! To be honest your Sox are making me just a bit nervous. But then so are Oakland and the Yankees and anyone who plays against us... this is such a tense time of year!
