Friday Findings

susandennisWork is done - well, kind of. I at least got everything taken care of this morning plus some extras. My attitude pretty much sucks and that's gotta get fixed. Doesn't particularly help that tonight is the office Christmas party. Yes, ugh. But.
Last year the office Christmas party was a bowling party. It was not too bad. You could bowl instead of chit chat and it was ok. I do hate bowling shoes but I do love any party that does not require panty hose. This year it's Belltown Billards. No bowling shoes but no panty hose either. It's less than 3 miles from here and there's plenty of parking. I am the worlds worst pool player, however. I have proved it time and time again with anyone who thinks they are worse than I am.
And it does involve the people from work and I'm really needing a break from them. But the people who put this together worked hard and it won't kill me to show my appreciation. The thing starts at 5 which is another plus, I can go and get it over with before I want to settle in for the evening. One of the guys at work today was kidding me in front of a bunch of people saying that I hold the record for the shortest party attendance.

Last week I discovered a box of t-shirts was missing. They are part of a bunch of corporate giveaways that came in all at the same time and needed to be hidden from the other employees for a while. I finally got into all of it last week and found the packing slip and saw that while there were supposed to be 8 boxes of shirts, I only had 7. I looked everywhere. I tracked back the shipping number and it was delivered with the rest. I decided to worry about it later.
This morning I woke up at 4:45 - totally awake and all of a sudden remember exactly where the t-shirts were. When I got in to work I went to see if they were there and there they were. The mind is a very strange thing.

I ordered myself a Christmas present and I was hoping it would come today but it didn't. It's a little piece of hardware and a piece of software that will turn the PDA that I no longer use too much into a multi function remote control that I can program from my PC. Or so the website says... we'll see. For $30 I'm willing to give it a shot. Maybe it will be here Monday.
